BE PART OF THE JOURNEY!

We have many more projects that we would like to complete
and we always welcome new members, and of course donations, to support us
to preserve and enhance this beautiful small town for future generations.
So do please get in touch .....

Saving Kouka Cottage from demolition was the first mission of the then Greytown Community Heritage Trust, established in April 1994 by Alfred Eastwood, the late
Max Edridge, Judith Lee, Alan Wilks and Alisoun Werry.

Other Trust projects have included restoring the Town Hall; working with the South Wairarapa District Council to create an historic precinct; and creating an extensive
Heritage Walk and Cycling Routes. We value our close relationship with the SWDC's planners and the Greytown Community Board, and regularly feed back on their proposals
affecting historic Main Street.
